School Community

St Joseph’s has a wonderful school community spirit where a sense of belonging and involvement of families is encouraged and promoted. As a small community we are able to build strong relationships between school and families.

St Joseph’s is very proud of the warm, safe and friendly atmosphere of the school. We believe that children learn best when they feel safe and are happy to be at school. Every child is valued and staff work hard to build respectful relationships with the students and parents.

At St Joseph’s we encourage parents to be involved in the children’s learning. Parent information sessions about literacy and numeracy are held early in the year. Parents are also encouraged to participate in many activities throughout the school year and we are very grateful for the support that is given by so many parents in the classrooms, in the library, and in outdoor programs.
It is always great to see parents and family members attend Mass, liturgies, excursions, assemblies, sporting events and carnivals.

The school always celebrates Father's Day, Mother's Day and Grand Parent's Day with a special liturgy and a variety of activities where the children get to show their family members all the great work they have been doing at school.
